Stoney's Rockin' Country Is Riding Into Henderson With a Third Vegas Valley Room

The boot-scooting brand behind Town Square's dance floor just locked in an August opening date for a 19,000-square-foot room at Sunset Station, filling a gap Henderson nightlife has felt since 2024.

A Third Stoney's Lands in Henderson

Sunset Station confirmed in late July that its long-teased Stoney's Rockin' Country room will finally swing its doors open on Saturday, August 15, with the party starting at 8 p.m. The Henderson property has been building toward this for more than a year, and having the exact date land now, right as summer nightlife peaks across the valley, gives locals a fresh reason to head off the Strip for a Saturday night out.

This marks the third Stoney's Rockin' Country venue in the Las Vegas Valley, joining the original room at Town Square and the North Forty location inside Santa Fe Station, which has been running since September 2023. Porchlight Hospitality operates all three in partnership with Station Casinos, and unlike earlier plans that floated closing the Town Square spot once Henderson opened, that original location is staying put.

What's Inside the New Room

The Sunset Station build fills roughly 19,000 square feet near the property's Sunset Road entrance, and the layout leans into everything that makes the Town Square original a weekend staple. Expect a full dance floor with line dancing lessons running Wednesday through Saturday for anyone who has never two-stepped in their life, plus the mechanical bull that has become something of a signature photo op at every Stoney's location.

There is also an open patio for guests who want air between rounds, plus a live entertainment lineup that management says will rotate roughly twice a month, with specific names still to be announced closer to opening. Recurring theme nights are already locked in too, including ladies' nights and a first responder special running on Wednesdays.

Filling the Club Madrid Gap

The space itself has a bit of history worth knowing. It previously housed Club Madrid, the Latin-themed nightclub that shut its doors in July 2024 and left that corner of Sunset Station dark for two years. Sunset Station's general manager, Lee Torres, framed the pick as a low-risk one, telling local media the chain's "local reputation for fun" made it an easy fit for the property.

For a property that has cycled through a few different nightlife concepts in that room, betting on a proven format with two already-successful locations elsewhere in the valley is a lower-risk move than launching something untested. It also gives Henderson a country-specific room it hasn't really had in years.

Worth the Drive From the Strip

If your idea of a big Vegas night out has meant bottle service and a DJ booth, this sits at the other end of the spectrum, and that is the point. There is no table minimum to negotiate, just a dance floor, a mechanical bull and drink specials in a casino roughly fifteen to twenty minutes from most Strip resorts depending on traffic.

Henderson locals who have wanted this exact combination without a freeway drive downtown now have it close to home, and Strip visitors curious about a side of Vegas nightlife that has nothing to do with EDM sets should put opening night on the calendar.
